16th Annual AirBorne Neonatal Pediatric Transport Conference
International Biomedical is hosting its 16th Annual AirBorne Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Conference in Austin, Texas on May 2nd – 4th, 2018. This conference allows transport professionals to learn new techniques and the latest advances in neonatal and pediatric transport from experts in their field and by interacting with other teams from across the US, Canada, and around the world.
Austin, the state capital, is known for its easygoing attitude, musical talent, cultural scene, and friendly atmosphere. In keeping with this casual and playful spirit, we have incorporated fun networking dinners.

We will again be accepting abstracts related to any aspect of neonatal and/or pediatric transport care. Presenters must be registered for the general conference. S.T.A.B.L.E. Cardiac Module Learner Course | May 2
This learner course provides general guidelines for the assessment and stabilization of neonates with suspected congenital heart disease (CHD). In completing this module, the learner will gain an increased understanding of the following concepts: The physical assessment and differential diagnosis of neonates with suspected CHD, the anatomic features, clinical presentation, initial stabilization of neonates with CHD, and the modifications in the S.T.A.B.L.E. guidelines that are necessary when caring for neonates with CHD.
HFV & Nitric Oxide Workshop | May 2
Maintaining protective lung strategies during transport is a primary concern. This workshop provides hands-on experience troubleshooting, describing set-up, and identifying key components in delivering high-frequency ventilation with nitric oxide during transport.This session is designed for neonatologists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and advanced practice nurses who routinely deliver high-frequency ventilation with nitric oxide on transport.
Fun with Procedures: A Lab Practicum with Hands on Experience | May 2
Through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on practice, this procedure lab allows attendees to expand their knowledge and skills with difficult intubation techniques, placement of intraosseous needles, chest tube placement, and modalities employed in the treatment of various cardiac dysrhythmias. This session is intended for neonatal nurse practitioners, advanced practice nurses, transport nurses, and nursing faculty seeking to enhance their knowledge in the performance of chest tube placement, thoracentesis, pericardiocentesis, and intraosseous placement.
