A wipeable urethane (Dermaplush) case encloses the Better Bendy Bumper's foam and metal rod, allowing it to be completely reusable. It can be wiped down in accordance with each individual hospital unit's cleaning protocol.
Two types of covers are available: washable cloth covers for multiple-patient use and disposable covers for single-patient use.
The hermetically-sealed rod can be removed from the single-patient use body. The rod can be cleaned and reused in a new foam body, allowing for multi-patient use.
About the Better Bendy Bumper Infant Positioning Aid
Customizable Support
The Better Bendy Bumper allows for highly customizable support, enabling healthcare providers to adjust the shape and positioning to fit the specific needs of each infant. This flexibility is crucial for accommodating various medical conditions and ensuring that each baby receives individualized care. It comes in two different sizes for the perfect fit, allowing caregivers to reshape it as needed.
Promotes Proper Development
Proper positioning is essential for promoting healthy development in infants. The Better Bendy Bumper stays in place once it’s shaped to help maintain optimal positioning for breathing, digestion, and musculoskeletal development. By supporting a natural fetal position, it aids in the transition from the womb to the outside world, which is particularly important for premature infants.
Enhances Comfort and Security
The soft, flexible design of the Bendy Bumper provides comfort and a sense of security for infants. It mimics the enclosing warmth of the womb, which can help reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being in newborns. This is not only beneficial for the infant’s emotional health but can also contribute to better sleep patterns and overall growth.
Easy to Clean
Designed with the realities of the NICU environment in mind, the Better Bendy Bumper is easy to clean and maintain. The urethane (Dermaplush) case that encloses the foam and metal rod is wipeable to meet individual hospital cleaning protocols and for reuse. The hermetically-sealed rod can be removed from the single-patient use body to be cleaned and reused in a new foam body, for multi-patient use. The washable cloth covers are for multiple-patient use and the disposable covers are for single-patient use.
